Unfortunately with our last release, and its instability, we were forced to roll back releases. Unfortunately in doing so, it would seem that our notification system has been broken somehow. Our engineers are working on this issue as quickly as possible. We hope to have a patch within the next day, so we can deploy our code and fix the notification system at the same time. Please *bear* with us ;)
Currently all notifications are being queued up so they can be processed as soon as the fix is pushed and verified to be working correctly.
Thank you,

As soon as I check my balances in my bank account, I'm going to make a donation to Hopeline. Winter is the time of year when the suicide rate goes up, as does depression. And I wasn't able to help my uncle but at least I can support people who can help others in my uncle's position. If it moves you to, please send a couple bucks in the mail to Hopeline in honor of him, or reach out to someone you know who needs help and tell them that help is here.

Most Honest, Wonderful Speech in the World
Dec. 3rd, 2009 | 10:35 am
posted by: bluejeans07
This is an amazing speech because it makes it clear that this is not a political or a religious issue, it's a government issue and it's the duty of the government to cater to the equality of all people, of sound mind and body. All these things that fly around, saying that gay marriage changes the definition of marriage, sanctity of marriage, etc, is a load of bullshit.
Yeah, I call bullshit.
The quality, definition, and 'sanctity' of marriage in America has already been tarnished. Even without getting into divorce, there are plenty of problems to day with the 'sanctity' of marriage in America. That while plenty of people reading my post may protest and say that their marriage has sanctity in it and I'm sure it does, I'm speaking on the OVERALL presentation of marriage in America, and whether that has sanctity or not.
As Savino puts out: we have a wedding channel. We have the Bachelor and Bachlorette. We have Elvis wedding chapels in Las Vegas. We have Internet mail-order brides. We even have people who can be ORDAINED on the INTERNET to perform marriages! WE HAVE CRAIGSLIST.
I'm a huge commitment phobe, all the loneliness I feel as a single person is still not enough to drag me out the door in any sort of effort in order to meet someone that I want to marry. Depending on someone to that extent scares the hell out of me, but I can't deny that I applaud and am envious of people who can do that and find that kind of happiness. So what gives any of us the right to deny people who want to be together, who have sanctity and dependability in their partnerships, and deserves the privileges and protection of the state and government?
Does gay marriage affect the sanctity of a straight relationship more than the Bachelor does? More than the wedding channel does? More than BRIDEZILLAS does?
Of course not, that's just silly.

I am singing in the dark? I am a big fan of DownTown
( ダウンタウン) & the boys of Gaki No Tsukai. And when I heard that Tanaka Naoki (田中直樹) was in the Jdrama Reset I had to watch it! And yes it was very cheesy! But I still loved it! I also loved the ending theme song by Nichika! I know I don't do the song justice! But when I was singing I was going for more feeling rather than sounding perfect. I was being random and created this very random video. Thanks for always watching my crazy video guys!

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. Thank you for your understanding and all the LJ love...
Hey LJers,
I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)
Thanks,
